No #GameGenie or code book here for Mike Tyson’s flavor of boxing! I love this game, mentioned in another video – Kung Fu… Boxing included in the beat’em playlist. @SummoningSalt crushes this play-through, speed run in no time as Little Mac.
I always like the training scene, Mac and his trainer running along the lakeshore… maybe it was the anticipation of the Title Bout, the excitement from the passcode (being able to save the game) and learning which would-be adversarial boxer would come next. Reminiscent of the 1976 boxing movie featuring Philly boxer Rocky Balboa. Classic. Same with this 1987 NES classic.
Anyhow, watch as @SummoningSalt take down “Iron Mike’s” boxing speed run. Times on the right-hand side and the margin of error. Awesome.
